DIY - half bath

Two weekends ago, yes I'm behind, Nana B came up for the weekend so Chris and I could get some much needed work done around the house. I redid our half bath, which was crying for a makeover. Chris had his own list of chores he acomplished, and after the weekend ended, we feel like our house has finally gotten some much needed attention!

5 months old

It's hard to believe Riley is 5 months old, but she's growing everyday. Just in the last couple of weeks, her hair has started to grow!!! It looks like she won't be bald on her first birthday, like I was!

She still hasn't started crawling yet, but she's really working on it everyday and night. She "talks" all the time, but most of her noises resemble a pirate talking, arrrggg! She is fascinated by the tv, and aside from her Baby Einstein movies, she loves football. Who knew??

Although she is at a sitter while we are at work, her favorite activity at home is bath time every night. She loves the water, and Chris is trying to teach her to splash, but she's more concerned with the swimming motions! It looks like she'll love the pool this summer.

Nana B is coming this weekend to play with her while I give our half-bath a face lift, and Chris is at work. I'll try and post before and after pictures at some point.

Biggest Loser returns!

Aside from John and Kate plus 8, the Biggest Loser is my second favorite show. Tonight is the premier of the new season, and I'll have the DVR set to record, because primetime television interrupts Riley's dinnertime, bathtime, bottle and bedtime! I'm pretty sure we watch 95% of our television via DVR! Technology is wonderful!

Asleep on the job

I meant to post this earlier, but the holidays kept me busy. The other night, I was feeding Riley her dinner, and she literally fell asleep on me in her highchair! She was too cute for me to clean up the sweet potatoes on her face.

Milestones

Riley is changing so much each day. Although she's four and a half months old, she's eating her baby food, both Gerber and homemade, wonderfully. I will say, she even loves her prunes now, but hasn't found a love for oatmeal cereal just yet. She has been rolling over since Thanksgiving, and will not stay in one place! It's a struggle changing clothes and diapers because she flips over in 2 seconds flat! She loves being in her exersaucer and walker (at day care) and is standing up all the time in them. Although she's working on crawling, she hasn't figured out to push up on her arms while her knees are under her. I give her another 2-3 weeks, and I imagine we'll have a little one on the move! She is getting better at her sleeping habits, and allowed us one full nights sleep at the New Year. If she would quit rolling around in her crib and trying to crawl in her sleep, we wouldn't have such a problem!

Christmas/New Years 2008

My family came to visit over New Years so we could celebrate Christmas a little late. Luckily, Riley was feeling much better and was in full spirits. David brought Martha, his significant other, whom we all love. Riley has enjoyed playing in her new exersaucer, along with watching her dad's new TV he got for Christmas! While my dad and brother were here, they volunteered their services with tree removal. This tree has been leaning towards our house/dining room window, but they broke out the chain saw, and had it down in no time!

Christmas 2008 - Columbus

Christmas was a long holiday for us. We went to Columbus for Christmas. Unfortunately, Riley was sick while we were there, which kept Chris busy opening gifts for the 3 of us while I took care of Riley. Luckily she bounced back after a few days and has enjoyed playing with her new toys. She did manage to let the grandparents hold her long enough for some pictures.
