One Month Old

Today is Riley's one month birthday. I'm stealing this idea for pictures from Mary, so please give her the credit for the picture idea. I'll do my best to take a picture each month, so we can watch her grow! Chris and I are so amazed as to how much she's grown in this first month. So far, she's the spitting image of Chris. She has his face, nose, and long eyelashes!

My parents came to visit Thursday, and left Saturday morning to go cheer the bulldogs along against Auburn. Thanks Nana B and Granddaddy for visiting. Please come back soon!

Chris and Riley resting up before a full day of football on Saturday!

Cager and Maris came over to watch the game. They appear to be in deep thought regarding the bulldogs performance.

Chris and I made it to Sunday school for the first time since Riley arrived. We did manage to get a few pictures of her in her dress.

Nighttime = Playtime

I do apologize that it's been a week since I've last updated the blog. It's been a rough few days, and we've had a rotating crew of family to rescue me. Since sometime last week, Riley has refused to sleep more than maybe 5 hours a night, and as little as 3 hours some nights. Well, by Monday my nerves were shot, and Chris called his mom to come and help.

"Hi, my name is Jessica, and I'm stubborn and don't know how to ask for help."

Pretty much, I just needed a little help during the evening shift so I could catch up on sleep. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! I haven't been this rested since before I was pregnant.

Anyway, here is a picture of Riley resting up before the game last weekend!

20 days old and growing!

Today, we went for a checkup to make sure we are growing like we are supposed to. Well, Riley is 9 pounds, which is a nice jump from the 7 lbs. 9 oz. she was when she was born. She's our little piglet!
Also today, Chris's grandparents, Mama and Johnny, came up for a visit. It was nice to have company for the day, and Riley enjoyed being spoiled by her great-grandmother all day long!

Happy Anniversary!

So, 2 years ago today, Chris and I were married. I can't believe it's been 2 years, especially since we are already parents, but it's been a busy, yet fun 2 years. We've managed to purchase a house, a car, relandscape the house, remodel parts of the house, and survive a pregnancy!

Chris, you are a wonderful husband and an amazing dad. It's been a great 2 years, and I look forward to many more!

Chris's parents came up yesterday afternoon to keep Riley so we could go out for dinner. We ended up at J. Alexander's, and it was delicious. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Nichols for coming up. Riley had a great time with you, and we enjoyed our evening out!

Labor Day Weekend

We spent our long weekend just hanging out here at the house with Riley and Millie. We did enjoy a full Saturday of football, which is wonderful. I love football season! Below are just a few pictures we captured of Riley during the weekend.
